M.A., RP(Qualifying), CCC, TITC-CT
I'm Reham, a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and Canadian Certified Counsellor. I hold a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master's degree in counselling. In the past 8 years, I have gained experience in psychiatric and research environments, I worked as an intake counselor for an employee’s assistance program, and I completed an internship at a private clinic in Montreal. This has allowed me to encounter a variety of situations, which in turn widened my repertoire of skills. I additionally hold certifications in clinical traumatology and insomnia.
My goal is to provide a safe and non-judgmental space for my clients to unpack, vent, gain insight into their behaviors, and take steps towards a more fulfilling life.
I offer video sessions to adults (20+) residing in Ontario, in English or French, using an integrative approach that mainly focuses on cognitive-behavioral and solution-focused perspectives. The concerns and problems I address are the following:
How much does a session cost?
One session costs $140+HST.
How long does a session last?
One session is 50 minutes.
Do you offer couple or family therapy?
No, only individual sessions.
Are your sessions only offered through video?
Yes. I do not offer in-person or phone sessions.
Are services covered by my insurance company?
You will need to check with your insurance company regarding your coverage. I advise you to verify with them prior to booking your first session. It is important to ask if they cover services for the specific title of the professional you will be seeing.
Do I need a referral from my physician?
You do not need a referral to see a therapist. However, if you are planning on getting reimbursed through your insurance provider, you will need to verify with them if they require it.
Do you have a cancellation policy?
Yes. Any cancellations with less than 24h notice, or no-shows, will be charged the full amount of a session.
What are your payment methods?
Payment is accepted through credit card.
What should I expect for my first session?
Our first session will involve questions in order for me to get to know you and your goals for therapy.
What is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)?
CBT is an evidence-based treatment approach. It is a short-term form of psychotherapy that focuses on changing thought patterns in order to change associated behaviors.
What does "(Qualifying)" mean?
Newly licensed psychotherapists in Ontario are required to practice with clinical supervision for a period of time. This involves regular meetings with an experienced practitioner and registered clinical supervisor in order to discuss cases and procedures. By doing so, we ensure the provision of high quality care.
